Receive dignified care and support for you and your family.
Rest assured that your loved one receives comfort and compassionate care in the final stages of their life. Reflections at Dove Healthcare-West is a distinct palliative care unit located on second floor.
To accommodate you and your loved one, features include private rooms comfortably furnished to accommodate visiting guests, wireless internet, family lounge with complimentary refreshments, and a family guest suite available at no charge for extended visits.
We focus on comfort and caring.
Our care team’s goal for your loved one is to manage their symptoms, reduce pain, provide spiritual support, and ultimately improve quality of life. With a focus on caring, not curing, our end-of-life care treats the person rather than the disease. The Chaplain is available to provide pastoral counseling, spiritual guidance, and prayer. Learn about spiritual care services.
Employees of Reflections receive advanced training in caring for terminally ill residents. In addition, our interdisciplinary team, including the Chaplain, support both resident and family with grief and bereavement counseling.
Start the admission process.
Residents in Reflections have a physician diagnosis of a terminal, life limiting illness with a prognosis of 12 months or less. An assessment is completed to determine eligibility for the palliative care unit. Prior to admission, we encourage you to begin completing advance directives, such as a living will, power of attorney for healthcare, and do not resuscitate (DNR) orders.
There are many ways to pay for your care.
There is a daily rate for Reflections and payment assistance may also be provided by Medicaid (MA), Managed Care, Veteran’s Assistance, Medicare, and Private Insurance. Contact our Admissions Coordinator for the current daily rate.
Memorial services keep memories alive.
Memorial services are held every six months in our chapel for all of the residents who have passed away during that time. Family, friends, and staff are invited to attend these services as a way of continuing the healing process, gaining continued support, and keeping the memories of a loved one alive.
