We believe that end-of-life care should be dignified, comfortable and peaceful. The following options are provided to our residents and families.
The Dove Fellows Program is an optional program designed to provide residents with the dignity they deserve at the end of their lives. The program offers individualized care to fit the needs of each resident and their families during the resident's last days.
The program offers several options including:

A dove figurine to signal to our staff it is time to say goodbye to a Dove family member and to stop for a moment and visit with the resident |

Staff and outside volunteers who sit with the resident as relief for the family members and friends |
|
A caregiver basket filled with materials such as a Bible, devotional materials, lotion, tissues, writing materials, and music |
|
Coffee, snacks and other refreshments for those visiting the resident |
|
A bedside service after the resident has passed away for family, friends, and staff |
|
A treasure box, decorated by Dove Healthcare residents, provided to family to place sentimental items into as they pack a loved one's belongings |
We understand the need for privacy during end-of-life care. We offer a special two-room End of Life Suite to make that time as comfortable and dignified as possible.

When the need arises to stay close to a loved one overnight, our comfortable and spacious family guest room can be reserved free of charge.
|
|
 Memorial services are held every six months in our chapel for all of the residents who have passed away during that time. Family, friends, and staff are invited to attend these services as a way of continuing the healing process, gaining continued support, and keeping the memories of a loved one alive.
