Be part of the Eau Claire community.
Outings are scheduled to shop, go to a movie, eat at a favorite restaurant, attend a ball game, go to the fair, and visit a park. Our handicapped accessible vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts for your safety and convenience.
Benefit from music therapy.
Music has proven healing benefits. Improve your cognition, manage pain, reduce stress, and promote wellness with the help of music. Music is integrated in our programs through sing-a-longs, music games, rhythm bands, social groups, and one-to-one visits.
Play Nintendo Wii— it's easy to participate and adds an element of fun!
Nintendo Wii is an interactive gaming system that allows you to engage mentally and physically in common lifestyle activities such as bowling, tennis, golf, boxing, and baseball.
Pamper yourself at our Tender Touch Spa.
The Tender Touch Spa at Dove Healthcare-West provides an opportunity for you to relax in a quiet environment. Decorated in soothing colors, the spa features a comfortable reclining chair, dim lighting, aromatherapy, and peaceful music. Receive foot baths, manicures, paraffin wax treatments, therapeutic touch, and soothing body wrap treatments.
Participate in a cross-generational activity.
The time devoted to this cross-generational activity truly makes a difference in the lives of our residents, and it has a lasting, positive impact in the students' lives too. The Grandfriends program pairs sixth grade students from South Middle School with our residents, and they meet monthly during the school year. Each student conducts a life story interview with their Grandfriend and participates in arts and crafts, games, and snacks. The students write in their journals after each visit, and at the end of the year they present their compilation of writings and illustrations as a book and give it to their Grandfriends as a gift.
